Very good image format. https://jpegxl.info/ https://jpeg.org/jpegxl/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_graphics_file_formats You can convert all your PNGs, JPGs and GIFs to JPEG XL to save disk space without losing quality. JPEG XL allows lossless transcoding of existing JPEGs, you can always get the original JPG back from JXL. Why use JPG and PNG when JXL exists? Most software supports it, so you can view and edit JXL images on your PC without a problem. JXL is better than JPG in every way. If a website doesn't accept .jxl files you can always convert that image back to .png or .jpg without losing quality. Remember that any comparison to other image format is worthless without posting the original image and software + flags used to convert it to other formats.
